Coaching

Coaching is a forward-focused, collaborative process designed to help you move from where you are to where you want to be.

We begin by clarifying what you want — whether you're navigating a transition, making an important decision, pursuing a goal, or figuring out what comes next.

Together, we'll assess where you are now, identify what's getting in the way, and create a realistic strategy. I'll provide thoughtful questions, perspective, structure, encouragement, and accountability as you take action and adjust along the way.

Coaching is for people who are ready for change and want a thoughtful partner to help turn clarity into action.

Coaching or Therapy?

Not sure which is right for you?

Coaching is not psychotherapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

Therapy focuses on emotional or psychological concerns that require clinical treatment. Coaching focuses on where you are now, what you want to change or accomplish, and the steps you'll take to get there.

Not sure which is right for you? We can talk about it together.

Life & Transition Coaching

There are times in life when the old answers no longer seem to fit.

You may be navigating midlife, considering a career change, adjusting to children leaving home, starting over, stepping into a new role, or simply wondering what you want the next chapter of your life to look like.

Life and transition coaching gives you a structured place to figure out where you want to go from here. Together, we'll clarify what matters most to you now, identify the decisions or changes you want to make, consider your options, and create practical steps for moving forward. I'll help you stay focused, work through obstacles as they arise, and provide accountability as you begin putting those decisions into action.

Sometimes the question underneath all of it is simply: What do I want the next part of my life to look like?

Parenting Coaching

Parenting coaching with me isn't about giving you a list of techniques for getting children to behave differently.

It begins with understanding the child in front of you—and understanding what happens inside you in response to that child.

We might explore conflict, communication, boundaries, independence, anxiety about your child, changing relationships with teenagers or adult children, or patterns from your own childhood that are finding their way into your parenting.

My approach is developmental and relational. Rather than asking only, "How do I get my child to change?" we may also ask: What is happening in this relationship? What does this particular child need? What am I bringing into this moment? And what kind of relationship do I want to build with my child over time?

The goal isn't perfect parenting. It is a more thoughtful, connected relationship in which both parent and child have room to grow.

Unschooling & Homeschooling Coaching

Choosing a different path for your child's education can be exciting, but it can also bring a surprising amount of uncertainty.

You may find yourself wondering whether your child is learning enough, whether you should be doing more, how much structure to provide, or how to trust a developmental path that doesn't look like everyone else's.

I raised my three children largely through unschooling, so I understand many of these questions from the inside. I also know there isn't one right way to do this.

Coaching offers a place to talk through what's happening in your family, think about the kind of learning environment you want to create, and become clearer about when to guide, when to step in, and when you may need to give development a little more room.

Whether you're considering unschooling, just beginning, or have been doing it for years and find yourself questioning the path, I'm happy to help you think it through.

Life After Cancer

Finishing cancer treatment doesn't necessarily mean the experience is over.

There can be enormous relief when treatment ends, but also fear, uncertainty, changes in your body, shifts in relationships and priorities, and the strange experience of trying to return to "normal" when you may no longer feel like the person you were before cancer.

As a cancer survivor myself, I understand that recovery can involve more than physical healing.

Coaching after cancer can provide a place to think about both your physical and emotional well-being as you move forward. We might explore rebuilding routines that support your health, managing the uncertainty that can follow treatment, reconnecting with your body, relationships and intimacy, changing priorities, work and family life, or questions about how you want to live after an experience that may have changed the way you see your life.

Cancer can interrupt a life. It can also make us look at that life differently. The question becomes not simply, "How do I get back to who I was?" — sometimes it is: Who am I now, and how do I want to live from here?
